02 / APPLICATION SYSTEMS

One beam format.
Different formwork roles.

H20 is a formwork beam. Its role and supporting components change with the application.

HORIZONTAL FORMWORK

A supporting grid beneath the slab.

Secondary beams support the formwork facing; primary beams transfer loads to suitable heads and props or shoring towers. The selected layout determines beam spans and support spacing.

Slab thickness, construction loads, deflection limits and the supporting system must be considered in the formwork design.

REAL FACTORY ASSEMBLY / H20 + STEEL PROPS

See how the beam is supported.

This factory demonstration shows H20 timber beams arranged beneath formwork facing. Adjustable steel props support the primary beams through four-way fork heads; braced props stabilize the demonstration setup.

The facing visible in the film carries a separate brand. Beam size markings are shown in the footage; the installed spacing and load capacity require a project-specific formwork design.

03 / UNDERSTAND THE BEAM

An I-section.
A coordinated assembly.

Timber flanges, a bonded web and protected ends work together as one formwork component.

01

Timber flanges

The upper and lower flanges contribute to bending resistance. The supplied sample range uses softwood flanges; confirm the timber species and grade for your order.

02

Bonded web

The web connects the flanges and contributes to shear resistance. Plywood is shown in the supplied reference material; confirm web construction and thickness.

03

End protection & coating

Red and blue end protectors are shown. Confirm end treatment and colour when ordering. Protective coating does not replace correct handling and storage.

04 / NUOHONG REFERENCE SPECIFICATION

06 / PRACTICAL QUESTIONS

Before you specify.

Which systems use H20 beams?

They are used in timber girder slab formwork and wall or column formwork. Slab arrangements may use steel props or shoring towers; wall systems typically combine timber beams with facing, steel walers, ties and alignment components.

Does a 200 mm section determine the safe load?

No. Capacity depends on the verified beam properties, condition, span, support arrangement and design loads. Request the applicable product data and use an engineered formwork design.

Can the colour and length be customized?

Discuss your preferred lengths, coating colour and end protection with Nuohong. Availability, minimum quantities and lead times are confirmed for the specific order.

How should beams be handled and stored?

Keep beams supported on level bearers, with drainage and ventilation. Inspect for flange or web damage, separation and damaged ends before reuse. Follow the approved handling and formwork instructions; do not modify a beam without approval.

What should I send with my enquiry?

Send the application, beam length schedule, quantity, section requirements, finish, destination and any drawings. Identify separately whether you need only beams or additional formwork components.
